Greetings and
thanks for taking a look at my web site! I hope you find
an image or two here that piques your interest.
In case
you were wondering....I am a self taught photographer
who has strayed from the saftey of the business world
into the less predictable realm of the arts. The images
you are viewing reflect my varied interests: nature,
music, and form. There are so many captivatiang subjects
for the camera that it is impossible for me to ignore
several in order to concentrate on one.
This is also apparent as I shoot, process, print and
present the final image. Starting with a vision of the
finished work in my mind, I then back-track from that
vision to choose the most effective process to be used.
The possibilities include using fiber-based B&W silver
imaging, (some may include hand-coloring with oils),
using R4 color chemistry, scanning negatives to manipulate
and printing digitally. I process and print all my own
work with the exception of the printing of a few very
large images which are printed to my specifications.
The finished works are exhibited in fine art shows and
a few galleries between Marquette Michigan and Key West
Florida.
My studio is located in Farwell, Michigan where I have
a small organic farm with my wife Emily who is a farrier
and operates Chase Farm Farrier Service. |
